New Orleans, La. - The UTEP volleyball team dropped its final regular season match to Tulane, 3-0, at Fogelman Arena in New Orleans, La., on Sunday afternoon.
Juniors Amy Sanders and Catherine Chavez recorded seven kills each to lead the Miners' offense. Chavez provided the defense for UTEP lifting 11 digs through the match. Sanders added seven digs, while setter Patty Jarmoc handed 23 assists in the loss to the 2008 C-USA regular season champions.
Tulane’s Bridget Wells downed 12 kills for a .526 hitting percentage and C-USA Pre-Season Player of the Year Sara Radosevic drilled 11 kills, 8 digs and a .440 hitting percentage.
The Miners will next travel to Tennessee for the Conference USA Volleyball Championships hosted by the University of Memphis from Nov. 20-23.
