The Miners will take to the court again on Sunday, Nov. 20 to face Conference USA champion Tulsa (25-5, 16-1) at 12 p.m. for the second time this season. 11/13/2011 UTEP Volleyball Sweeps Marshall, 3-0Xitlali Herrera and Jeane Horton combined from 31 kills and led a UTEP (19-11, 9-8) attack that hit .368 en route to a 3-0 victory over Marshall on Sunday at Memorial Gym. 11/09/2011 Volleyball Returns Home to Face ECU, MarshallThe UTEP volleyball team (17-11, 7-8) will be taking on East Carolina (0-15, 2-22) on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. MDT. HIGH SCHOOL: Helped Bishop Blanchet High School to two state titles (2004, 2006), four Metro League Championships (2004-07) and three Sea-King District Championships (2004, 2006, 2007) ... tabbed a first team South Puget Sound All-League selection in 2005 and 2006 ... received second team all-state honors ... named Prepvolleyball.com honorable mention all-american in 2005 ... recorded a personal best 10 aces against Seattle Preparatory in 2006 and 26 kills against Holy Names in 2007... played club for KJVBC-18 Baden leading them to a fifth place finish in the American Division at the National Junior Olympics tournament in 2006 ... was a track and field letterwinner ... boasted a 3.6 GPA, earning her the BBHS Merit Leadership Scholarship from 2004-06.
