EL PASO, Texas - UTEP women's tennis head coach Mark Roberts announced the 2014 spring dual match schedule on Thursday, which is highlighted by 12 home matches at the El Paso Tennis Club.

The Miners will open the spring in San Antonio, Texas against McNeese State on Jan. 31, followed by matches against Texas State (Feb. 1) and new Conference USA foe UTSA (Feb. 2). The Orange and Blue will commence the home slate on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) against Northern Arizona, followed by a match against Lamar (Feb. 16). Home doubleheaders include matches against Abilene Christian/Western New Mexico (Feb. 22) and Southern Miss (C-USA match)/UTPB (Feb. 23).

"We have a challenging spring schedule and I am eager to start the spring and play competitive matches every weekend," Roberts said. "We have more home matches this year. It will be a good opportunity to play at home on our own courts. The spring is our most exciting time, and I can't wait to see the team in action."

UTEP will travel to Tucson, Ariz. to take on Arizona (Feb. 7), Grand Canyon University (Feb. 8) and Sacramento State (Feb. 9). The Miners will also get a rematch against former C-USA foe SMU on March 1 in Dallas, Texas. Then No. 51 SMU ousted UTEP in the first round of the 2013 C-USA Tournament.
