EL PASO, Texas - The UTEP softball team will complete its home fall schedule this weekend when they host Midland College in a doubleheader on Friday at Helen of Troy Field. Game one set for a 3 p.m. MT start (game two is slated for 5 p.m.). Admission is free to all fans.

The Miners spit their first four exhibition games, falling to NM State twice last Saturday, but rebounded against the El Paso Community College softball team on Sunday winning game one, 24-5, and game two, 7-1.

Highlights from last weekend: Senior Alanna Leasau belted two grand slams in the second inning of game one against EPCC, junior Ashley Eldridge hit a homerun at NM State, junior Samantha Alvillar used blazing speed for an inside-the-park homerun, junior McKenzey Finley recorded three hits and scored four runs, and sophomore Morgan Rasmason drew two walks and scored three runs. In the circle, freshman Kaitlin Fifield and senior Laura Ramos allowed no runs during Sunday's contests.

The Miners will play their final fall series against Eastern Arizona on Saturday in Thatcher, Ariz. The doubleheader will start at Noon.
