Osterman to Highlight NPF All-Star Game, Tickets Available Tomorrow at 8 a.m.

EL PASO – Texas alum Cat Osterman will highlight the National Pro Fastpitch All-Star roster when the “Back to School Tour”  stops at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex tomorrow at 6 p.m.

Osterman is one of two Olympic medalists making the trip to the Sun City. Joining the Texas alum is third baseman Andrea Duran. Both are members of the reigning 2010 NPF Champions USSSA Pride. Duran was a two-time NCAA champion at UCLA and was the 2006 PAC-10 Player of the Year. Osterman was a four-time All-American while at Texas. She set NCAA records for career strikeouts and career strikeout ratio and was named the USA Softball National Player of the Year three times.

She followed her collegiate career with two gold medals at the Pan American Games, two World Cup Championships and silver and gold Olympic medals as part as the US National Team.

Veterans Megan Willis (C), Jessica Williams (2B/SS), Courtney Bures (SS/2B), Jamee Juarez (P/UT) and Caitlin Lever (OF) are also part of the squad scheduled to appear against the Miners tomorrow night. Second-year pro Taryne Mowatt (P) and rookies Francesca Enea (OF) and Angeline Quiocho (3B/OF) round up the All-Star roster.

Tickets for the game are $7 for adults, $3 for children. Group rate is $2 per ticket. Pete’s and Kid’s Club Passes are not valid for this event. Tickets will be available at the University Ticket Center from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex beginning at 3:30 p.m. based on availability.
