UTEP scored three more runs in the inning to give them a 10-5 lead over the Lobos.

UNM didn’t go quietly in the top of the seventh, scoring two on a double by Dani Castro. Hohman retired Guillermo on a strikeout and got Hignojos to groundout to first to end the game and secure the victory.

Hohman pitched her 10th complete game of the season and picked up her sixth victory of the season. She tossed 7 innings giving up seven earned runs on eight hits and 7 walks.
