Rains Cancel UTEP Softball at Tulsa

The first game of a three-game series pitting the UTEP softball team against Tulsa was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions in the Tulsa, Okla. area on Saturday. The series will conclude in a double header on Sunday. Game time is slated for 11:00 a.m. CST.

The twinbill was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, but rain and wet field conditions delayed start times, changing the series to one game on Saturday and two on Sunday.

This marks the seventh time this season the Miners (21-29, 6-11 C-USA) have had to cancel or postpone games due to weather conditions, the second time in league action.

The Miners will return home May 5 to take on UAB in the final home series of the 2006 season at Helen of Troy Field. Seniors Megan Barber, DeAnna Camacho, Veronica Flournoy and Sarah Ramirez will be honored in UTEP's final home game on May 6.
