UTEP Softball Games Canceled Due to Rain; Orange Out on Tuesday

STOCKTON, Calif. - UTEP softball's scheduled games against No. 7 Washington (Noon MT) and San Jose State (4:30 p.m.) are canceled due to rainy conditions at the Libby Matson Tournament.

The Miners are scheduled to play tournament host Pacific (5:45 p.m.) and CSU-Bakersfield (8 p.m.) on Saturday. UTEP will close out the weekend against Washington (11 a.m.) on Sunday.

The team will return to El Paso on Sunday at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Orange Out on Tuesday and Conference USA home opener

UTEP will take on I-10 rival NM State on Tuesday, March 4 at Helen of Troy Softball Complex (6 p.m.). Fans are encouraged to wear orange for free admission. Two UTEP blankets will also be auctioned off.

Conference USA home action will open on Saturday, March 8 in a doubleheader against Southern Miss (2 & 4 p.m.) The Miners will also take on the Golden Eagles on Sunday (Noon). Again, fans are encouraged to wear orange for free admission
