STOCKTON, Calif. - The UTEP softball team was overmatched against No. 7 Washington's starting pitcher. Bryana Walker overmatched the Miners (6-14) en route to a 9-0 victory in five innings at the 2014 Libby Matson Tournament on Sunday morning.

Erika Arcuri and Kawehiokalani Netane were able to single, while both advanced to second on errors during the fourth and fifth innings respectively, but that was all the offense the Miners could produce.

Walker (10-1) struck out eight in five innings of work, while Kylee Lahners and Ali Aguilar hit back-to-back home runs to lead the Huskies (16-2).

The Miners return to the Sun City to take on I-10 rival NM State on Tuesday, March 4 (6 p.m. MT). Fans are encouraged to wear orange for free admission. Two UTEP blankets will also be auctioned off.
