TUCSON, Ariz. - The UTEP Miners' five-game winning was snapped after falling to No. 10 Arizona, 11-1 in five innings, on Tuesday night at Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium.

The Miners (6-10) only offensive presence was a home run by Colleen Hohman to left center in the second inning. It was the only hit of the night for UTEP and Hohman's third shot of the season.

The Wildcats (14-1) exploded for six runs in the first inning that was highlighted by a Katiyana Mauga grand slam to center field. Pitchers Shelby Babcock and Estela Pinon combined for five inning, seven strikeouts and one walk.

The Miners will face the Wildcats again on Wednesday, Feb. 26 (3 p.m. MT).
