2008 (SOPHOMORE): A first team All-Conference USA selction ... also named to C-USA's All-Academic team ... an NFCA Scholar Athlete and a Confernece USA Commisioner's Academic Medialist ... one of just two players to start in all of UTEP's 54 games ... led the Miners in RBI (35), home runs (9), walks (34) and on base percentage (.474) and total bases (90) ... second on the team in batting average (.344), slugging percentage (.596), runs (38) and hits (52) ... also hit-by-pitch four times ... had nine games with multiple RBI to rank first on the team, including a season - high four vs. UAB ... posted 13 multiple hit games and held the Miners' longest streak with 14 games from Feb. 23 through March 12 ... was 3-for-5 in stolen bases ... recorded 62 putouts with 81 assists - the second-best in 2008 ... turned five double plays and had a season-best five putouts vs. Southern Miss ... as a pitcher, Townsend tallied a 2.62 ERA, the highest on the team ... broke the single season record for wins with 12 and became the Miners' all-time career victory leader with 21 ... made 29 appearances with 24 starts ... tossed 13 complete games and posted four shutouts with one save ... struck out a team-high 146 batters in 139 innings of work ... twice hurled double-digit strikeouts including a career-high 12 vs. Memphis.

2007 (FRESHMAN): An NFCA Scholar Athlete and Conference USA Academic Medalist ... Conference USA All-Freshman team honoree ... named C-USA Hitter of the Week on March 19 after leading the Miners past then fifth-ranked Arizona State - the first win over a ranked opponent for UTEP ... started in all 51 games for the Miners ... connected for 45 hits including 11 doubles and five home runs ... drew 22 walks and recorded three sacrifice hits...was 1-for-1 in stolen bases ... tallied 14 multiple hit games and registered six games with multiple RBI ... drove in four runs against Buffalo (Feb. 23) ... twice connected for three hits - vs. Buffalo and Memphis (March 17) ... logged 70 putouts and 69 assists for a fielding percentage of .972 ... registered a career-high six putouts against Northern Colorado (Feb. 26) and had five assists versus Tulsa (May 5) ... as a pitcher, Townsend went 9-5 in the circle ... her nine wins was the most by any freshman in UTEP history ... started 17 times in 29 appearances ... tossed six complete games with three shutouts ... fanned 105 batters in 105 innings pitched ... notched two wins against fifth-ranked Arizona State.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Earned 2005-06 All-State softball team honors by the Florida Sports Writers Association ... received All-Central Florida Softball first team honors after posting a 21-6 record in the circle with 343 strikeouts and an 0.28 ERA combined with a .446 batting average ... was the 2005 Player of the Month by the National Collegiate Scouting Association ... starting pitcher for the British national softball team where she participated in the 2006 World Cup of Softball, the 2006 London Cup and the European Championships in 2005 ... named the 2006 Valedictorian at Freedom High School.
