2006 (JUNIOR): Batted .314 with 23 runs on 32 hits, including five doubles and five RBIs...made 33 starts in 47 games played...stole 11-of-12 bases to lead the Miners including a season-high two against Jackson State...best outing came against Southern Miss when she went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs including two doubles...also recorded three runs against New Mexico State (Feb. 14)...ranked fifth in C-USA in batting average at .360 in league-only games.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Led Navarro College to the NJCAA National Championships in 2005...earned NJCAA All-Region second team honors... a decorated soccer player, Hernandez was a four-year letterwinner at Del Rio High School...tabbed first team All-District her sophomore, junior and senior seasons...helped Navarro to three national championships in soccer and softball over a two-year span...a member of the National Honor Society, she was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students.
