NFCA All-Midwest selection ... played and started all 55 games for the Miners, seeing time at first base and catcher ... was named Conference USA Hitter of the Week on March 1 and March 22 ... batted a team-best .376 and ranked first on the team in hits (59), RBIs (42), doubles (16), total bases (93) and double plays (5) and was second in slugging percentage (.592), on base percentage (.484), runs scored (38), walks (30), chances (324) and putouts (297) ... laced six home runs in 2010 ... intentionally walked seven times in 2010 - a season standard ... led UTEP in multiple hit (14) and RBI (13) games and posted an eight game hitting streak ... notched four double-digit putouts including 15 against Southern Miss (April 2) which ranks tied for third in UTEP's single-game records ... had three contests with four hits (NMSU, Memphis, UCF) which ties for third in single-game recordbooks ... recorded a grand slam home run against Belmont, driving in a season-high four RBIs and reached a career-high eight total bases ... four walks vs. UCF (May 8) ranks tied for first in UTEP single-game annals ... notched 42 RBIs in 2010, two short of the season record she set a season ago.

Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll ... played in all 57 games for the Miners, seeing time at catcher, third base, first base and designated player ... led the conference in batting average (.412), doubles (19), home runs (13) and total bases (133) and ranked first on the team in runs (44), hits (73) and RBI (44) ... became the first player in program history to lead the team in batting average, hits, doubles and slugging percentage in back-to-back seasons ... ranked first in C-USA in league-only games in batting average (.481), slugging percentage (.889), runs (22), hits (39), RBIs (22), doubles (12), home runs (7) and total bases (72) ... four C-USA series with batting average above .500 and two above .600 ... intentionally walked three times ... recorded three multiple HR games - the first player in school history to do so ... broke the season records for batting average, slugging percentage, hits, doubles, home runs, RBIs, total bases and intentional walks ... one grand slam ... ended the season ranked 28th nationally in slugging percentage, 33rd in BA and on base percentage and ranked in the top 100 in HR (52nd), HR per game (67th), walks (73rd), RBIs (91st) and runs (98th) ... posted 24 multiple hit games and was the only player on the squad to record double figure multiple RBI games with 13 ... recorded a six game hitting streak including a nine-game run in C-USA only contests ... registered 241 putouts and 41 assists.

2008 (FRESHMAN): Became the first Miner in softball program history to be recognized on two all-league teams - first team All-Conference USA and All-Freshman team ... named Conference USA Hitter of the Week on March 10 after batting .833 in a series against UAB, leading UTEP to its first-ever conference sweep ... was first on the team, fourth in the league and nationally in batting average (.373) ... is first on the team in hits (53), slugging percentage (.627), and ranks tied for first in doubles (12) ... second on the team in RBI with 32, home runs (8) and on base percentage (.440) ... recorded 32 runs and drew 15 walks ... batted .413 in conference-only games to rank sixth in the league and has batted over the .500 mark in three conference series in 2008 ... saw action at catcher, first base, third base, outfield and designated player ... tallied 52 putouts with six assists ... was 2-for-4 in stolen bases ... led the Miners in multiple hits games having posted 16 while registering seven multiple RBI games ... held the second-longest hitting streak in 2008 with 13 games from Feb. 23 through March 12 ... the only Miner to record five RBIs in a game - twice (Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M) ... also had four RBIs against Northern Colorado ... one of two players to lace back-to-back home runs in a game this season (vs. Texas Southern) ... notched a career-high 13 putouts vs. Binghamton ... named to Conference USA's Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO UTEP: A catcher at Mountain Pointe High School in Tempe, Ariz., Carrera was second team all-region in 2007 ... earned first team all-region accolades in 2005 and 2006 ... tabbed All-City and was named Most Valuable Player during the two campaigns.
