Miners Down NM State On The Road, 2-0, In Exhibition Contest
Brittany Kindzierksi and Lauren Katada each scored and the defense did the rest in the UTEP's soccer team's 2-0 exhibition victory at I-10 rival New Mexico State Sunday afternoon.

"This is a huge honor for "Dill" and UTEP Soccer," head coach Kevin Cross said. "We challenged the team this weekend to get shut-out performances, and she was up to the task. She made one upper 90 save versus Weber State which is one of the best saves that I have seen! Sarah has high soccer ambitions and she is playing in top form. We hope this play continues as we approach Conference USA play. I am very proud of Sarah and so thankful she is the UTEP Soccer keeper!"

Dilling was flawless over the weekend to help the Miners (6-2) improve to a perfect 4-0-0 at home on the year.

She registered four saves in a lightening-shortened 3-0 victory against Weber State on Sept. 7. Her best moment in the match was in the 51st minute. WSU's Mackenzie Harrison laced a shot that appeared destined for upper 90's country but Dilling used a breathtaking save to punch it wide.

Dilling recorded three saves, including a highlight-reel stop in the 66th minute, during the Miners' 1-0 triumph against Sam Houston State on Sept. 8. She also punched out a dangerous service off a free kick with two minutes to play. Dilling has now recorded three shutouts in the past four tilts.

Dilling and the rest of the Miners have no time to rest on their laurels. They will renew the battle of-10 with NM State in Las Cruces at 4 p.m. MT Wednesday before christening Conference USA play with four straight road tilts.
