Former Miner Kelly Parker Named To 2012 Canadian Women's Soccer Olympic Roster

EL PASO, Texas Former Miner player and assistant coach Kelly Parker has made the 2012 Canadian Women's Soccer Olympic Roster. She was one of 18 players tabbed to the squad, which was officially revealed by the organization Monday.

Parker was one of the greatest players to ever wear a Miner uniform. She piled up 84 points, including a school-record 30 assists, while tormenting the opposition from 1999-2002.

Parker was an instrumental part of the 2002 Miner team, which led the nation in scoring (4.42 gpg) while finishing 16-3.

Canada will continue its preparations for the 2012 Olympics by playing the United States in a friendly match at 12:30 p.m. MT Saturday (June 30). The match will be carried televised nationally on NBC.
