Miner Soccer Academy Summer Camps Set To Return

EL PASO, TEXAS - The UTEP Soccer program is proud to announce that its popular Miner Soccer Academy summer camps will once again return in 2011. Registration is now underway for each of the camps.All camps are open to any and all entrants.
Campers will receive a soccer ball, sack pack and t-shirt, in addition to the best instruction in the city. Sign up for the first camp at full price and receive a $20 discount for subsequent camps.
The morning camp, which is for boys & girls ages 5-14, will run 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 13-17 at University Field. Campers will develop a strong technical soccer base, and all levels are welcome.
Another variation of that will be the half-day morning camp, ages 5-18, which is set for 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 18-21. There will also be the afternoon version of the camp, ages 5-18, tabbed to be 1 to 5 p.m. July 18-21.
The full day camp, geared for boys & girls ages 5-18, is slated for 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 18-21. Players of all skill levels are welcome, and they will be instructed in ball control, dribbling, heading, passing, shooting and defending. This camp will take advantage of UTEP's Memorial Gym for indoor soccer and the Sun Bowl for outdoor soccer.
There is also an advanced camp, planned for boys & girls ages 7-18, which will be from 6-9 p.m. June 13-17. Campers will develop into the soccer play of their dreams. The camp is designed for the advanced player, and they will be instructed by the top local high school coaches and UTEP staff. The focus of the camp will be on advanced tactical topics.
