Miner Soccer Academy Summer Camps Set To Return This Summer

EL PASO, TEXAS – UTEP soccer is excited to reveal that its highly-attended Miner Soccer Academy summer camps will be back for summer 2012. Registration is now underway for each of the camps. All camps are open to any and all entrants.
Each camper will get a soccer ball and t-shirt by registering, in addition to some of the best instruction in the area. Campers who sign up for the first soccer camp at full price will receive a $20 discount for subsequent camps.
The morning camp, open for boys and girls ages 5-14, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. June 11-15 at picturesque University Field. Campers will develop a strong technical base, and all levels are welcome.
A different form of that will be the half-day outdoor camp, boy and girls ages 5-18, which is slated for 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 16-19 at Sun Bowl Stadium. There will also be the indoor edition of the camp, boys and girls ages 5-18, tabbed to be 1-5 p.m. July 16-19 at historic Memorial Gym.
The full day camp, intended for boys & girls ages 5-18, is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 16-19. Players of all skill level are welcome, and they will be taught ball control, dribbling, heading, passing shooting, juggling and defending. This camp will take advantage of UTEP’s facilities, with indoor soccer being played at Memorial Gym and the Sun Bowl being used for outdoor soccer.
There is also an advanced camp, aimed for boys and girls ages 7-18, which is planned to run from 6-9 p.m. June 11-15 at University Field. Campers will develop into the soccer play of their dreams. The camp is designed for the advanced player, and they will be instructed by the top local high school coaches and UTEP staff. The focus of the camp will be on advanced tactical topics.
