EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP soccer team will start the process of preparing for its 2014 fall campaign with five exhibition contests and an alumni game during its spring season.

The Miners will be home against Arizona State (1 p.m., March 29), Arizona (2 p.m., April 5), Eastern New Mexico (1 p.m.), New Mexico Highlands (1 p.m., April 13) and an Alumni Game (1 p.m., April 26) while playing at New Mexico (2 p.m., April 6).

The will be free admission to all of the home contests, which will be held at picturesque University Field.

“We are fortunate to have a great spring schedule with excellent opposition,” UTEP soccer coach Kevin Cross said.” The spring games are crucial to our fall success, and we are looking forward to watching the team develop. The spring games are free so it is a great opportunity to see UTEP play some great opponents at home.”

The Miners are coming off a high-quality 2013 campaign which featured a 12-6-3 record, including 5-3-2 within C-USA play, to finish third out of 16 teams in a revamped Conference USA.

UTEP is slated to return more than 15 letterwinners next year while also receiving a boost from a highly-anticipating recruiting class.
