12/07/2011 UTEP Announces December Student-Athlete Graduating ClassTwenty-five past and present Miners will earn their diplomas on Saturday, increasing the total for the 2011 calendar year to 63. Former Miner goalkeeper and three-year letterwinner (2008-10) Sara Kaltwasser will serve as a manager for the team in 2011. Her duties will include, but are not limited to, game-day filming, and assisting with practice and game-day set-up. The native of Rowlett, Texas, appeared in 19 games during her time in the Sun City, including 14 starts. She compiled a record of 9-3-0, while posting a GAA of 0.93 and a save percentage of .818. She did her best work as a freshman in 2008, pacing Conference USA in save percentage (.848) while checking in second in the league of GAA (0.85).The GAA ranked as the second lowest in program history, and it helped her finish the year at 5-2-0. Kaltwasser excelled in the classroom during her career as well, earning placement on the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll (min. 3.0 GPA) three times. She is the daughter of Shirley and Don Kaltwasser.
