UTEP Soccer To Be Represented At 2012 London Olympic Games

Representing your country is the greatest honor that any athlete can have, and former Miner Kelly Parker will get to experience that first hand at the 2012 London Olympic games.

It was a great moment for both Parker and the program when it was announced that she had made the Olympic roster.

You can read about her amazing story on page 72 of the 2012 UTEP Summer magazine or get your own copy of the article by downloading it as a PDF.

A member of Team Canada since 2009, she played in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.

She built on that experience, and Canada clinched the Olympic bid earlier this year.

She certainly did her part in that happening, by picking up the play for injured midfielders.
