EL PASO, Texas - Amber Criss fired a new freshman record in air rifle on Sunady, shooting 585 against Nevada, but it was not enough, as the Wolfpack topped UTEP twice over the weekend, defeating the Miners 4619 to 4556 on Saturday and followed with a win on Sunday taking UTEP 4625 to 4579 on Sunday.

Criss gunned her way to a new freshman record in air gun, as she tallied a team-high 585. She was followed by Davila, who showed consistency in the two-day event, shooting 583. Burzynski followed with 576 and Crabtree rounded out the four woman team with 571.

Burzynski led the group in smallbore with 572. She was trailed by Davila with 571, Crabtree with 566 and Criss who fired 555.

On Saturday, Karya Davila posted the top score in smallbore for UTEP, carding a score of 566. She was followed by Josie Burzynski and Katie Crabtree who each fired their way to scores of 561. Amber Criss trailed with 556.

Davila proved her seniority in air gun, shooting a team-high 583. She was followed by Crabtree with 577 and Burzynski and Criss who each recorded scores of 576.
