Shooters Fall To Nevada In Dual Competition

RENO, Nev. - The UTEP rifle team fired 4557 but it was not enough as the Wolfpack defeated the shooters with an aggregate score of 4590 in a dual match-up over the weekend.
Nevada out fired UTEP in both smallbore and air gun, posting scores of 2259 and 2331 to UTEP's 2240 and 2317, respectively.
Crabtree and Criss led UTEP in air gun, each targeting over the 580 mark. Criss tallied 584 points while Crabtree finished with 580. Burzynski shot 579 and Davila hit 574 to round out the group.
The Miners will next take on TCU at the UTEP Rifle Range on Feb. 9.
