Rodriguez Continues Hot Shooting At TCU

FT WORTH, Texas –Senior Korina Rodriguez fired an 1156 (573-583) while freshman Rachael Schoenrock finished at 1142 (571-571) to key the efforts with the for the UTEP rifle team at TCU Sunday. Overall the Miners fired a score of 4516 only to have the homestanding Horned Frogs took the triumph at 4635.
It is the second straight match and the fourth time on the campaign that UTEP has topped 4500 as a team, surpassing the total amount of such matches during the 2012-13 season.
Rodriguez led the way for the second consecutive match, capping an outstanding weekend of action in the Metroplex. Two of her top three scores since becoming a Miner were recorded on the range this weekend.
Schoenrock was the epitome of consistency, using a 571 in both the smallbore and the air rifle to wrap up UTEP’s second-highest score on the day.
Jessica Kinder, also a freshman, concluded the action at 1108 (535-573). Kinder’s finest moment came in the air rifle, firing her second-best score in the discipline since joining the Orange and Blue.
Areli Oros enjoyed her best match with the Orange and Blue, setting a career high for aggregate at 1097 (541-556).
Freshman Jasmine Juarez turned in her highest score 1099 (548-551)in the month of November. She was only nine points shy of her career aggregate total.
