FT WORTH, Texas – Senior Korina Rodriguez was locked in during both disciplines and fired a career-high aggregate score of 1167 (580-587) to lead the efforts for the UTEP rifle team in a neutral-site match-up with Air Force Saturday. Overall the Miners recorded a score of 4509, but it wasn’t enough to clip the Falcons (4655).

It marks the third time this season that the Orange and Blue have surpassed 4500 as a unit, equaling the total number of such matches during the entire 2012-13 campaign.

Rodriguez’s score in the smallbore (580) was three shy of her personal best while the effort in the air rifle (587) matched her career best in the discipline.

Freshman Rachael Schoenrock buoyed Rodriguez with a readout of 1144 (564-580), her second-highest effort with the Orange and Blue. Fellow classmate Jessica Kinder recorded a final score of 1115 (544-571).

Another newcomer, Jasmine Juarez, fired 1083 (528-555). Areli Oros rounded out the scoring for the Orange and Blue by registering a final score of 1074 (520-554).
