UTEP Women's Golf Team Tied For 13th Place at Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic

The UTEP women's golf team is tied for 13th place through 36 holes of its first tournament of the season, the Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo.

The Miners shot rounds of 305 and 297 on Monday for a total of 602. Idaho leads the 16-team field (291-277-568) heading into Tuesday's final round.

UTEP's Deborah Martinez is tied for 41st place with a five-over-par 149 (74-75). Shang-Fan Huang is tied for 54th place (82-70-152), and three Miners are tied for 57th place -- Samantha Garza, Stephanie Herrera and Rosana Gomez. All three fired a 77 in the first round and 76 in the second for a total of 153.
