UTEP Women's Golf Team Shoots 301 on First Day of Cowgirl Classic

The UTEP women's golf team is in eighth place after shooting 301 on day one of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Monday in Chandler, Ariz.

Iowa leads the 24-team field (289) with 36 holes remaining to be played. The tournament continues through Wednesday.

Freshman Camino Sardinero carded a one-over-par 73 on Monday. She is tied for ninth place. Teresa Nogues is tied for 28th place (75), Shang-Fan Huang is tied for 37th place (76), Nathalie Castillo is tied for 52nd place (77) and Emma Burman is tied for 76th place (79).
