UTEP Women's Golf Team Shoots its Way into 3rd at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

The UTEP women's golf team shot 318 on Monday at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Chandler, Ariz., taking third place in the standings with two rounds to play.

The tournament continues through Wednesday.

Camino Sardinero led the Miners with a three-over-par 75. She is tied for second place, four strokes behind individual leader Hayley Young of Boise State (71).

UTEP's Emma Burman and Nathalie Castillo are tied for 23rd place (80), Amber Herrera is tied for 48th place (83) and Maria Velasco is tied for 66th place (85).

Boise State leads the 19-team field (307), with Northern Arizona in second place (314).
