UTEP Women's Golf Tied For Sixth at UALR Women's Classic

The UTEP women's golf team is tied for sixth place through 36 holes of the UALR Women's Classic in Little Rock, Ark.

The Miners shot 304 and 300 respectively for a total of 604 on the first day of the tournament, which concludes with one round on Tuesday.

UTEP is just eight strokes back of Oral Roberts (295-301-596), which leads the 19-team field.

Shang-Fan Huang is tied for 10th place with a four-over-par 148 (74-74) to lead the Miners. Teresa Nogues is tied for 21st place (77-73-150), Nathalie Castillo is tied for 34th place (76-76-152), Camino Sardinero is tied for 45th place (77-77-154) and Emma Burman is tied for 84th place (82-80-162).
