UTEP Women's Golf Team Holds 11th Place in Hawaii

The UTEP women's golf team is in 11th place with 36 holes complete at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on Tuesday in Hawaii.

The Miners logged scores of 313 and 312 for a total of 625 on day one of the tournament, which concludes tomorrow.

Gonzaga leads the 14-team event (302-300-602).

Leading UTEP on the par-72 Kaneohe Clipper course is Teresa Nogues, who is tied for 23rd place with rounds of 75 and 79 (154 total).

Shang-Fan Huang (78-77-155) and Camino Sardinero (76-79-155) are tied for 28th place, Nathalie Castillo is tied for 60th place (85-77-162) and Johanna Permatz is tied for 75th place (84-85-169).
