UTEP Women's Golf Team Finishes 12th at Blue Raider Invitational

The UTEP women's golf team capped its fall season on Tuesday with a 12th-place showing at the Blue Raider Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

The Miners shot 927 as a team with rounds of 306, 307 and 314.

Middle Tennessee State was champion of the 18-team tournament (299-292-298-889).

Sophomore Camino Sardinero tied for 26th place with a 13-over-par 229 (75-79-75) to lead UTEP. Emma Edin (75-76-81-232) and Nathalie Castillo (75-75-82-232) tied for 41st place, Emma Burman tied for 61st place (82-78-76-236) and Maria Velasco tied for 76th place (81-78-83-242).

The Miners' spring season will begin at The Challenge at Onion Creek Feb. 17-18 in Austin, Texas.
