UTEP Women's Golf Team Lands 10th at ORU Shootout

The UTEP women's golf team capped the Bob Hurley Auto ORU Shootout on Tuesday in Tulsa by finishing in 10th place.

The Miners compiled scores of 316, 312 and 324 for a total of 952 at the 54-hole tourney. Lamar was tournament champion, shooting 905 (302-303-300).

UTEP's top finisher was Camino Sardinero, who tied for 23rd place with a 23-over-par 236 (80-80-76). Emma Edin tied for 26th place (78-77-82-237), Maria Velasco tied for 32nd place (78-79-82-239), Nathalie Castillo tied for 34th place (80-76-84-240) and Emma Burman tied for 60th place (83-85-84-252).

The Miners will return to action at the Price's "Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate" Monday through Wednesday (Oct. 8-10) in Las Cruces.
