UTEP Women's Golf Team Takes 16th at ORU Shootout

The UTEP women's golf team landed 16th at the ORU Shootout on Tuesday after shooting its best round of the tournament.

The Miners fired 314 over the final 18 holes, finishing with a two-day total of 959 (322-323-314).

Lamar won the 18-team tournament (300-299-300-899).

UTEP's Amber Herrera tied for 58th place with a 27-over-par 240 (80-80-80). Alisa Rodriguez tied for 61st place (83-81-77-241), Camino Sardinero (80-84-78-242) and Emma Edin (82-78-82-242) tied for 67th place, and Nathalie Gallacher tied for 73rd place (80-87-79-246).

The Miners will play in the Price's "Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate" beginning on Monday in Las Cruces.
