UTEP Women's Golf Lands 11th at Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational

The UTEP women's golf team registered an 11th-place finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on Wednesday in Hawaii.

The Miners scored rounds of 313, 312 and 320 for a total of 945, as Texas A&M won the 14-team tournament (901).

UTEP's Teresa Nogues and Shang-Fan Huang both finished in the top-25 of the individual standings. Nogues fired a 16-over-par 232 (75-79-78) to tie for 21st place, and Huang shot 233 (78-77-78) to tie for 25th place.

The Miners' Camino Sardinero tied for 31st place (76-79-80-235), Nathalie Castillo tied for 65th place (85-77-84-246) and Johanna Permatz tied for 78th place (84-85-87-256).

UTEP will next participate in the UALR Classic March 28-29 in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
