UTEP Women's Golf Team Lands 11th at Jim West Challenge

The UTEP women's golf team finished 11th at the Jim West Challenge on Tuesday in New Braunfels, Texas.

The Miners lowered their score in each round, finishing with a 54-hole total of 953 (324-317-312).

The champion of the 15-team tournament was Gonzaga (285-306-287-878).

Leading UTEP was Emma Edin, who tied for 16th place with a 17-over-par 230 (82-75-73). Camino Sardinero tied for 20th place (78-76-78-232), Alisa Rodriguez tied for 63rd place (83-83-80-246), Amber Herrera tied for 66th place (81-84-82-247) and Emma Burman tied for 71st place (88-83-81-252).

The Miners will continue their spring season at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 11-12 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
