EL PASO, TEXAS – All kids (12 & younger) will receive free admission to the UTEP game against Tulsa inside the Don Haskins Center at 7:05 p.m. MST Thursday.

The Miners (13-2, 2-0 C-USA) will be looking to notch the third 3-0 start to league play in program history. It will be the first of two meetings on the year against the Golden Hurricane (6-7, 1-1 C-USA), who bested Southern Miss, 68-57, on Jan. 5, before being derailed at Marshall, 63-45, last time out on Jan. 8.

UTEP equaled the biggest comeback in school history, erasing a 19-point halftime deficit to down Memphis, 66-60, in its most-recent tilt on Jan. 8.  The Miners’ second straight triumph came in front of a season-best 3,052 fans and a nation-wide television audience (Fox Sports Networks).

Overall the Orange and Blue stand at 13-2 on the year, which marks the program-best eighth straight year with a winning record at the 15-game juncture. The prior standard was four.

Success at home has been instrumental to the seasonal success, with a record of 9-1 and a scoring margin of +20.3 in those contests. Strong fan support has helped, with an average just shy of 1,400. Overall UTEP is now 76-18 in El Paso since the start of the 2006-07 season.
