• Stanford improves to 32-3 overall, matching the second-best total for victories in school history. The 1996-97 squad finished 34-2 en route to reaching the Final Four.
• Stanford advances to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time since 2006. The Cardinal was upset in the second round of last year's NCAA Tournament against Florida State on its home court.
• In her final game at Maples Pavilion, Candice Wiggins established a career-high of 44 points (15-27 shooting, 6-13 three-pointers, 8-10 from the charity stripe). Wiggins, who surpassed her previous NCAA Tournament career-high of 34 points, tied the school record of 44 points previously held by Kate Starbird (Jan. 13, 1996 against USC). For good measure, she also chipped in with 10 rebounds and eight assists.
• Candice Wiggins became the first Cardinal player to score 40 points in a game since Kate Starbird poured in 40 on Jan. 12, 1997 at USC.
• Kayla Pedersen finished with her eighth double-double of the year, tallying 11 points and 11 rebounds. Pedersen led the Cardinal in rebounding for the 15th time this year.
• Stanford held a commanding 43-30 advantage on the glass and is 27-2 when that is the case.
• Stanford has won nine contests by at least 30 points this year.
• The Cardinal is 27-0 when leading at the half.
• UTEP, playing in its first NCAA Tournament, closes out the year at 28-4 overall. The Miners dispatched of Western Kentucky 92-60 in the opening round on Saturday.
• UTEP's Izabela Piekarska poured in a team-high 17 points on 7-20 shooting to go along with eight rebounds. Piekarska has led the Miners in scoring on 10 different occasions.
• UTEP shot just 29-percent from the field (18-62)- a season low.
• UTEP racked up nine steals on the evening, bringing its season total to an incredible 343.
• UTEP did not lose back-to-back games at all during the year.
• 13 different players received playing time for the Miners.
• Candice Wiggins registered her 18th consecutive double-figure scoring game with 13 points.

• With the win, Stanford advances to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the eighth consecutive year and the 18th time in its 21 appearances. The Cardinal will face the winner of the UTEP/Western Kentucky contest. The Cardinal improved to 31-3 overall.
• The Cardinal also improved to 21-4 at home in the NCAA Tournament.
• With the loss, Cleveland State ends the 2007-08 season with a 19-14 overall record.
