UTEP Men's Golf Team in Ninth Place at Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate

The UTEP men's golf team shot 587 at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate on Monday in Las Cruces. The Miners are in ninth place out of 14 teams heading to Tuesday's final round.

UTEP posted round scores of 292 and 295. Luke Ovenden leads the Miners, carding an even-par 142 (70-72) on Monday to tie for 17th place.

Ryan Fioretti is tied for 27th place (74-70-144), Jerry Castrellon is tied for 32nd place (77-69-146), Devin Miertschin is tied for 36th place (73-74-147), Ross Rotwein is tied for 49th place (77-72-149), David Persons (76-77-153) and Jere Pelletier (73-80-153) are tied for 66th place, Jacob Loya is tied for 72nd place (74-80-154) and Fili Cruz is tied for 77th place (78-77-155).
