UTEP Men's Golf Maintains Eighth Place Standing at C-USA Championship

The UTEP men's golf team remains in eighth place through 36 holes of the Conference USA Championship on Monday in Edmond, Okla.

The second-day results reflected better weather conditions, as 13 of the 14 participating teams lowered their score from round one to round two. UTEP was no exception, dropping from 302 to 292 for a two-day total of 594.

Tulsa heads up the field (288-281-569), with Charlotte in second (291-281-572) and UAB in third (290-283-573).

UTEP's Frederik Dreier is tied for 15th place with a five-over-par 145 (73-72). Jere Pelletier is tied for 29th place (75-73-148), Martin Simonsen is tied for 39th place (77-73-150), Roberto Ruiz is tied for 55th place (82-74-156) and Jose Romero is tied for 55th place (77-79-156).

The individual leader is Tulsa's Logan McCracken (67-70-137).

The final round will be played on Tuesday.
