UTEP Men's Golf Team Tied For Ninth Heading into Final Round of C-USA Championship

The UTEP men's golf team had a rough second day at the Conference USA Championship, dropping from a tie for sixth to a tie for ninth in the team standings.

The Miners shot 308 as a team on Monday after posting a 290 in Sunday's opening round. The final 18 holes will be contested on Tuesday.

UCF leads the 11-team field (565), with SMU in second (569) and UAB in third (573).

UTEP's Herbert Day is tied for 11th place with an even-par 144 (70-74), putting him seven strokes behind the three co-leaders Simon Ward and Blayne Barber of UCF and Zack Sucher of UAB (137).

Chad Keohane is tied for 34th place (74-76-150), Roger Sloan is tied for 38th place (71-80-151), and Tanner Taff (80-78-158) and Josh Taylor (75-83-158) are tied for 51st place to round out the Miners' scoring.
