UTEP Men's Golf Team Tied For Sixth at Conference USA Championship

The UTEP men's golf team is tied for sixth place through 18 holes of the Conference USA Championship on Sunday in Orlando.

The Miners shot a two-over-par 290 on day one of the event, which will continue through Tuesday.

UCF leads the 11-team field (279), with SMU second (284) and UAB third (286).

UAB's Zack Sucher and UCF's Blayne Barber are tied for the individual lead, having each carded a four-under-par 68 on Sunday. Herbert Day leads the Miners, shooting a 70 to tie for seventh place thus far.

UTEP's Roger Sloan is tied for 12th place (71), Chad Keohane is tied for 27th place (74), Josh Taylor is tied for 36th place (75) and Tanner Taff is tied for 53rd place (80).
