UTEP Men's Golf Team Tied For Seventh Place at National Invitational Tournament

The UTEP men's golf team is tied for seventh place through 36 holes of the National Invitational Tournament on Friday in Tucson.

The Miners shot rounds of 303 and 291 for a total of 594 on day one of the 12-team event. The final round will be played on Saturday.

San Diego State is in first place, shooting 566 over the first two rounds.

UTEP's Martin Simonsen is tied for 27th place with a four-over-par 148 (75-73). Devin Miertschin is tied for 32nd place (79-70-149), Jere Pelletier is tied for 44th place (76-75-151), and Luke Ovenden (79-74-153) & Ross Rotwein (78-75-153) are part of a five-way tie for 55th place.
