UTEP Men's Golf Team Tied for 15th Place at John Burns Intercollegiate

The UTEP men's golf team continued play at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Kahuku, Hawaii on Thursday, shooting 303 as a team.

The score was a slight improvement over day one of the tournament (304) and left the Miners tied for 15th place with a 607 total. California leads the 18-team field (270-286-556) heading into Friday's final round.

Freshman Martin Simonsen continues to lead the Miners. He carded a one-under-par 71 on Thursday and is tied for 13th place among individuals with a three-under-par 141.

Rounding out UTEP's scoring were Devin Miertschin (tied for 69th place, 152), Jerry Castrellon (86th place, 155), Jere Pelletier (tied for 92nd place, 159) and Ryan Fioretti (101st place, 165).
