UTEP Men's Golf Team Finishes 15th at Lone Star Invite

The UTEP men's golf team took 15th place at the Lone Star Invite on Tuesday in San Antonio.
The Miners posted rounds of 305, 300 and 327 for a three-day total of 932. New Mexico was champion of the 15-team event (861).
David Persons tied for 64th place with a 15-over-par 231 (78-72-81) to lead UTEP. Luke Ovenden tied for 70th place (76-74-82-232), Devin Miertschin tied for 75th place (74-78-84-236), Jacob Loya finished 78th (81-78-80-239) and Jere Pelletier tied for 79th place (77-76-87-240).
UTEP will wrap up its fall schedule at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday in Las Cruces.
