UTEP Men's Golf Team Takes Ninth at Ron Moore Invitational

The UTEP men's golf team finished ninth in its first tournament of the season, the Ron Moore Invitational on Tuesday in Denver.

The Miners shot rounds of 299, 294 and 292 respectively for a two-day tally of 885. Colorado was the champion (276-274-275-825) at the 17-team event, with Air Force landing second (281-285-293-859) and New Mexico third (282-293-289-864).

The individual medalist was Colorado's Pat Grady, who fired a 12-under-par 204 (67-69-68).

UTEP's Roger Sloan tied for 18th place (74-71-72-217), Chad Keohane tied for 39th place (77-75-70-222), Manuel Torres tied for 46th place (77-72-75-224), Josh Taylor tied for 49th place (72-78-75-225) and Jordan Bucy finished 70th (76-76-78-230).
