UTEP Men's Golf Team Wraps Up Season with 10th-Place C-USA Finish

The UTEP men's golf team finished 10th at the Conference USA Championship on Tuesday in Orlando.

The Miners had a 54-hole total of 895 with rounds of 290, 308 and 297 respectively.

UCF claimed the championship (279-286-282-847), with SMU second (284-285-283-852), UAB third (286-287-288-861), Memphis fourth (289-291-286-866), Tulsa fifth (291-298-284-873), East Carolina sixth (289-291-295-875), Houston seventh (290-300-288-878), Rice eighth (292-300-293-885), Southern Miss ninth (301-297-288-886) and Marshall 11th (302-304-315-921).

UCF's Simon Ward was the individual winner with an 11-under-par 205 (69-68-68), edging out teammate Blayne Barber (68-69-70-207) who was second.

UTEP's Roger Sloan tied for 24th place (71-80-69-220), Herbert Day tied for 29th place (70-74-78-222), Chad Keohane tied for 38th place (74-76-77-227), Tanner Taff tied for 46th place (80-78-73-231) and Josh Taylor finished 51st (75-83-78-236).
