UTEP Men's Golf Team in 10th Place After First Round of C-USA Championship

The UTEP men's golf team shot a nine-over-par 297 on day one of the Conference USA Championship on Sunday in Texarkana, Ark., putting the Miners in 10th place.

Memphis leads the 11-team field with an 11-under-par 277, with Houston in second place (282) and UAB in third (283).

The tournament continues on Monday and concludes on Tuesday.

UTEP's Herbert Day is tied for 22nd place (73), Zac Hildenbrand and Roger Sloan are tied for 32nd place (74), Chad Keohane is tied for 43rd place (76) and Josh Taylor is tied for 49th place (78).

Six players are tied for the individual lead with a four-under-par 68.
