UTEP Men's Golf Team Finishes Eighth at Fresno State Classic

The UTEP men's golf team took eighth place at the Fresno State Classic on Tuesday.

The Miners shot rounds of 295, 301 and 300 for a total of 896.

Martin Simonsen tied for 18th place (74-76-73-223), Frederik Dreier tied for 23rd place (74-77-73-224), Roberto Ruiz tied for 32nd place (71-74-81-226), Jacob Loya tied for 39th place (80-74-74-228), Jere Pelletier tied for 69th place (77-82-80-239) and Ian Patterson tied for 73rd place (76-83-81-240).

UC Santa Barbara won the 14-team tournament (288-298-287-873).

UTEP will participate in the National Invitational Tournament March 14-16 in Tucson, Ariz.
