MINERS
Miners Arrive in Mobile

The UTEP and Toledo football teams arrived in Mobile, Ala. on Friday afternoon, officially beginning the countdown to Wednesday's GMAC Bowl.

"What you have is two teams that really want to be here," UTEP coach Mike Price said at Friday night's press conference at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. "We're excited about the opportunity. We have a lot of respect for Toledo and their program. They're disciplined, hard-nosed, tough."

Price said senior running back Tyler Ebell still hasn't been cleared to play and likely will not see action in the bowl game. Senior wide receiver Jayson Boyd is also doubtful for the contest.

The Miners and Rockets enjoyed a southern style shrimp boil at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on Friday night.

UTEP players will visit the children's and women's hospital on Saturday morning before practicing at Murphy High School at 9:30 a.m. MST.

Wednesday's game will kick off at 6:06 p.m. MST and be nationally televised on ESPN. Ron Franklin, Bob Davie and Holly Rowe will have the call.
