UTEP Starts Three-Game Road Swing at Tulane

UTEP (3-5, 2-2 C-USA) will play three of its last four regular season games on the road and starts a three-game road swing at Tulane (2-6, 0-4 C-USA) on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. MT. The Miners will play at SMU on Nov. 14 and at Rice on Nov. 21 before concluding the regular season slate at home against Marshall on Nov. 28. UTEP must win three of its last four games to reach six wins and secure bowl eligibility.
The Miners were beaten by UAB, 38-33, in the Sun Bowl in their last action a week ago. Tulane took a break from conference play and dropped a 42-0 decision at ninth-ranked LSU.
The game will be televised in El Paso on The CW Network.
UTEP's English flagship radio station is KOFX 92.3 FM. Jon Teicher (play-by-play), Bernie Ricono (color) and Jeff Limberg (sideline) will have the call. The UTEP Spanish flagship is José 1650 AM (Omar Ropele/Mike Perez).
The Miners hold a 3-1 edge in the series, although Tulane won the only previous matchup between the schools in New Orleans, 34-19 in 2007.
The Miners are playing three consecutive conference road games for the first time since 1992, and only the 17th time in school history. UTEP also played three league road games in a row in 1935, 1941, 1953, 1954, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1981, 1983, 1984 and 1985.
