Punter Ian Campbell Named a Ray Guy Award Candidate

UTEP football's Ian Campbell was named a candidate for the Ray Guy Award announced the Augusta Sports Council on Friday.
The list of 69 will be narrowed to 10 semi-finalists on November 9. The top three finalists will be named on November 19 with the winner named on Thursday, December 6.
Campbell, who was a semi-finalist a year ago, has punted 49 times for 2,092 in 2012. Campbell ranks 25th nationally and fifth in Conference USA in punting (42.7).
He has had nine punts covering more than 50 yards, including a season-long 71 yard punt against Tulsa. Nine punts have been fair caught and four have been touchbacks. Campbell has not had a punt blocked. Twelve punts have landed inside the 20 yard line with five falling inside the 10.
